USATF Pacific 2025 Junior Olympic XC Championships
Sunday, November 30. • Golden Gate Park, San Francisco
It was a great morning at one of the best parks in the nation according to the Washington Post. No fog, a bit overcast, and lots of smiling faces. The course preview was like a parade of parents, supporters, and youth athletes, then off we go!
We estimated a combination of youth athetes, parents, officials, & supporters gathered at the iconic Lindley Field in Golden Gate Park. We had more than 1300 people enjoying the brisk outdoors.
A special thank you to all the officials & SafeSport volunteers that ensured our youth athletes have a safe and challenging courses.

► XC Jen Hitchings Sets W60-64 10K Pending Record
Jenny Hitchings (62) set a new American 60-64 AG record in the 10K road race (pending) with a time of 39:21 at the Nov. 2, 2025 Clarksburg Country Run, breaking the old record set in 2015.
With this new record (pending), Jenny would currently hold 60-64 AG American records in the 5K, 10K, 15K, 10 Mile, 20K, Half Marathon, 25K, 30K and Marathon distance events.
► XC National Masters 5K Champs at GG Park a Huge Success!
Courtesy of Irene Herman: The 2025 National USATF MASTERS 5K XC, hosted by USATF Pacific and held at Lindley Meadow in San Francisco’s Golden Gate Park was very successful. Perry Jenkins, Master LDR/XC Chair said it is a great event and a beautiful venue, hinting that we should have it again. This is the most well attended Masters XC 5K Championship he has seen. He was very impressed with USATF Pacific.
