► RR USATF Masters 1 Mile Road Championships
Are you a Masters athlete trying to figure out how to get through the dog days of summer? Set a goal for your running—get ready for a national championship! If you carried your fitness through the spring, just add a little speed work around the edges and you will be ready to roll.
The USATF Masters 1 Mile Road Championships are scheduled for the evening of Friday August 21st in Flint MI. Not only is it the National Masters Championship, it is the Michigan Mile and a stop on the Bring Back the Mile circuit.
It is a vital part of the CRIM Festival of Races, now in its 38th year. If you’ve never run a mile on the road, now is the time to check that off your bucket list! Come test yourself against national and regional champion Masters Runners in 5 year age groups, both women and men—maybe you’ll go home with a national championship medal yourself. And, even if not, there will be handsome national performance medals for all runners who attain an 80% or better age graded score. And, of course, there is prize money for the very top age-graded performances.
Details about the Masters National Championship races can be found here:
USATF National Championships Calendar
Race registration forms are not yet loaded on the site but clicking ‘Entry Information’ will get you the most up-to-date information.

And, by the way, if you want to do an unusual double, plenty of runners run a feisty mile Friday evening and then come back the next morning all warmed up and ready to go for the CRIM 10 mile run on Saturday.
