A heads up for some upcoming events of interest this winter:
The first races of the 2016 season will be separate female and male one-mile race walks beginning at 10:30 a.m. on Saturday, January 23, 2016, as part of the Cal-Berkeley All Comers track and field meet at the Berkeley track. This is a good opportunity for local athletes to qualify for the national 1-mile championships at the Millrose Games on February 20th in NYC. There will be clinics for new Race Walk Judges and Race Walk Officials on Saturday, January 9, 2016, at American River College in Sacramento and on Sunday, January 31, 2016, at Serra High School in San Mateo.
