Jacob Nur (SRA Elite) had a pretty good run in the Men’s 65-69 age group with 4 road ARs
– 17:00 5km, age grade 99.40%
– 35:42 10km, age grade 96.21%
– 58:34 10 Mile, age grade 95.76%
– 1:18:00 H Mar, age grade 96.24% (all based on 2025 standards).
His 5km AR was the 3rd best age-graded road performance ever recorded by an American male! He was also voted Road Runner of the Year 3 times in the M65-69 age group, 2022, 2023, and 2024.
After turning 70 in Aug 2025, Jacob decided it was it was time to “rinse and repeat”. In September, at the Urban Cow H Mar, he set two ARs – 1:20:57 H Mar, age grade 97.28% and a 1:01:35 10 Mile (split), age grade 96.35%.
Then in November, at the Clarksburg Country Run, he set another M70-74 AR by running the 10km race in 36:57, age grade 96.73%. These performances along with a 1:02:02 at the Buffalo Stampede,
age grade 95.06 (this would be the M70-74 AR if he hadn’t run faster 2 weeks later at Urban Cow)
made him the top vote getter for both the USATF Masters Male Runner of the Year and the USATF Masters LDR Athlete of the Year Awards for 2025.
BTW, Jacob has two pending M70-74 ARs already in 2026! He ran a 2:08:50 30k at the Jed Smith Ultra Classic, age grade 88.09% and a 30:02 8km at the very hilly Brea Classic, age grade 94.43%.
