The Pacific Association Track & Field Championships is a USATF sanctioned elite development opportunity and will take place on a 9-lane MONDO track at the campus of the College of San Mateo. A throwing facility overlooks the track and the San Francisco Bay. All USATF individual track and field events will be conducted. There will be a 5,000 meter race walk (men/women combined). This meet is strategically scheduled 11 days before the opening day of the USATF Outdoor Championships in Sacramento, CA.

Enter online through 6:00pm, Thursday – 8 June.  No day-of entry will be available!

The goals for this meet:

  • Unprecedented prize money for an elite development event.
  • Increased visibility of what we love to do — Compete!
  • Access for elite athletes to an easy fundraiser to offset training and competition expenses

The concept:

  • Big Push live streams the event. Big Push initiates a crowd fund page for the meet.
  • Athletes and fans tap into the easy-to-use fundraising platform that utilizes social media, gamification and mobile devices to create personalized funding pages.
  • Donors who give $5 or more to a campaign will gain access to the live stream.
  • Elite athletes earn up to 50% of their live stream donations through Big Push.
  • Prize money for the event will be increased based on successful campaigns.

Gaining exposure:

  • Big Push will run a nationwide contest for high school students who fundraised for their team. Donors who give $5 or more to teams will gain access to the live stream.
  • The top high school fundraisers (expected 2 per event) will get the opportunity to travel to the meet and compete with elite athletes (HS athletes not eligible for prize money).

Elite Hammer Info: In addition to the two regular sections of the hammer at San Mateo on the morning of 11 June, there will be elite sections of the M/W hammer events to be held on Saturday, June 10, at Sacramento State — in conjunction with the Golden West Invitational. This will give athletes an opportunity to check out the ring and facility for the USA Champs contested at the same Sacramento facility on June 22-25.  Contact Fred Baer at [email protected] or 650.483-3733 for additional information.
