MTF Irene Obera wins SEVEN Golds, sets THREE WR at World Masters Champs!

Irene won seven gold medals in Lyon at the World Masters Championships that ended Sunday, setting three world records in the process: two WR relay marks plus a WR 80m hurdle time surpassing her Pride Meet WR time. She also took second in the 400m behind the Italian world record holder. PA masters runner Fei-Mei Chou also picked up two golds in the World Record 4x100m, 4x400m Relays and a bronze in the 400m (she is in 4x100m relay photo behind Irene).

Additional note from Irene Herman: “Irene’s gold medals came in the 100, 200, WR 80m hurdles, 200m hurdles, Long Jump, and both the WR 4x100m and 4x400m relays.”
