• Sanctioned USATF cross country race for youth athletes
• • 1^st cross country meet of the Pacific Association USATF youth season
• Date:  Sunday, September 28, 2008
• Time: 
• • 8:00 am – Registration (same day only, pre-registration preferred)
  • 9:00 am – Course walk through
  • 10:00 am – Sub-Bantams race begins (after the last runner has completed the race for this age division the next age division, Bantam, will commence and so on)
• Location:  Beals Point, Folsom Lake SRA
• • RETC will host a snack bar
  • Built in bathrooms (no port-a-potties!)
• Registration Fee:  $6 per athlete
• Parking Fee:  $7 per vehicle; boat dock closed due to drought
• Awards
• • Medals to top 6 finishers in each age bracket; participant ribbons to remaining finishers (excluding adults in the Open age group)

 
 

• Competition brackets based on birth year
• Boys and girls in each age group will race together but receive awards separately
• Race course is moderately hilly

• Cost per athlete:  $6.00 (cash, check or money order)
• Pre-registration requested but same day registration available

Driving Directions 

• From Modesto / Stockton area
• • Take Highway 99 North to Sacramento. Exit Highway 50 towards Lake Tahoe.  Take the Folsom Blvd. exit and go left (under the freeway).  Keep going straight for approximately 7 miles (approximately 4-5 miles down the road you’ll cross a bridge and the street name will change to Folsom-Auburn Rd.)  Turn right at the stop light for Beals Point (park entrance).  Follow the main park road till it dead-ends at a parking lot
• From the Bay area
• • Take I-80 East to Roseville.  Just as you reach Sacramento take Highway 50 towards Lake Tahoe.  Follow directions above from the Folsom Blvd. exit.
• From Reno
• • Take I-80 West to Rocklin.  Take the Sierra College Blvd. exit and go left over the top of the freeway (5 miles).  Turn left on Douglas Blvd. (3 miles).  Turn right on Auburn-Folsom Rd. and travel for 2.2 miles.  Turn left at the park entrance (stop light) and follow the main park road till it dead-ends at a parking lot
