The entry deadlines for both the World Youth Track & Field Trials and the USA Youth Outdoor Track & Field Championships are quickly approaching.
Both events will take place on the campus of Eastern Michigan University inYpsilanti, Michigan and both require athletes to meet specific entry deadlines.
The World Youth Track & Field Trials will be held June 30 – July 1 and serves as the sole qualifying event for the 2009 IAAF World Youth Championships in Italy (July 8-12). Athletes born in 1992 and 1993 are eligible to compete in this event if they meet the established qualifying standards The on-time entry deadline for the World Youth Track & Field Trials is Monday (June 22) at 11:59 p.m. ET. Late entries will be accepted until June 24 at 5:00 p.m. ET. Entries submitted on June 23 and June 24 will be charged a $30 late fee (in addition to the on-time entry fee of $20).
The USA Youth Outdoor Track & Field Championships will be held June 30 – July 5 with over 2,500 of the nation’s top young athletes expected to compete for national titles and personal bests. The on-time entry deadline for the USA Youth Track & Field Championships is Tuesday (June 23) at 11:59 p.m. ET. There is no late entry period for this event so all entries must be submitted by this deadline.
Entries for both events must be submitted online. Entries after the deadlines will not be accepted. Please do not wait until the very last minute to begin the entry process.
